Aviation Briefing (AvBrief) became an Internet data provider for the aviation communtiy in 1999. AvBrief serves both general and corporate aviation with flight operations and briefing services. The Software Development Company has been involved with AvBrief since December 2000. The majority of the work comprises data feeds, data transformations and presentation on a linux high availability cluster.

Using mainly perl and php with a postgresql database, data is gathered from satellite data and a variety of FTP sites.
